LVSC

Keegan & Pennykid provided an insurance and financial services affinity scheme through LVSC from 1999 until LVSC’s closure in October 2017.

The London Voluntary Service Council provided support services to voluntary organisations in London and served as a collective voice on the issues that affected its members.

In its role, LVSC helped voluntary organisations to understand the complexities of working in London in the 21st century. Voluntary organisations are sometimes the only mouthpiece for marginalised groups, so LVSC worked to ensure that the views of such organisations were listened to.

In its work, LVSC targeted co-ordinating and support services, councils for voluntary service, organisations which had no umbrella groups of their own, black and minority ethnic groups and other groups that experience discrimination.

LVSC also provided information and advice to voluntary organisations, through its publications, Voluntary Voice magazine, training courses, events and other services.

LVSC transferred its remaining functions over to Greater London Volunteering (GLV) in preparation for the establishment of a hub for London.
