What is a Fact Find and why do I need to complete one?

Under the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000, we, as Independent Financial Advisers, are required to have a proper regard for a client's best interests in any advice given.

We must therefore do our utmost to ensure that we are aware of your personal and financial circumstances so that our advice is the most suitable for your needs. The Fact Find comprises a series of questions which have been specifically designed to help us provide advice that meets your needs.

If for any reason, you decline to answer any or all of the questions or fail to provide true and accurate information to the best of your knowledge, the advice given subsequently may not be the best advice, as it can only be based on the information provided.

Any information that you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence.

There are two types of Fact Find, one for individuals and one for businesses, charities and voluntary organisations. You can download and print off the Fact Find which is relevant to you by clicking on the appropriate link below.
