There may be activities which your Neighbourhood Watch Scheme wishes to carry out but which are not covered by the national public liability policies for Neighbourhood Watch Schemes in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. These activities might include:
- Fund-raising activities
- Barbecues
- Discos

Your Responsibilities as an Event Organiser
As an organiser of an event your obligations will be to ensure you are properly protected with suitable insurance should a misfortune occur. Naturally, no-one ever forsees these unexpected calamities, but regrettably they do arise from time to time.
For instance, you could be found legally liable for:
- a visitor being injured or killed;
- an accident to a person you employ at the event; or
- loss or damage to hired-in event property, inluding cups, trophies, marquees and tents
