Our Service Aims To You
Our corporate service has two aims:
Employer
We will endeavour to keep an employer fully up-to-date with changes in legislation and to regularly advise on possible alterations to employee benefit schemes. We will deal with as much day-to-day administration on behalf of the employer as possible and seek to minimise the amount of paperwork involved. All Schemes will be reviewed on an annual basis.
Employee
The main reason for providing employee benefit schemes is to motivate and encourage employees. It is therefore crucial that they understand how the schemes work so that they can fully appreciate what is being provided for them.
From the outset Keegan & Pennykid (Insurance Brokers) Ltd has invested heavily in technology. This means that, for example, employees can see in today's terms their likely future pension from all sources.
As Independent Financial Advisers we specialise in providing advice and guidance in respect of Employee Benefits including State Pensions and the State Second Pension (S2P).

Life Company Selection
Before a recommendation is made, there are certain criteria we look at before selecting financial products for clients. Financial strength is obviously extremely important, which is gauged by looking at, for example, the level of free assets, size of funds under management and solvency of a company.
Any company we recommend will have a good reputation and high level of name awareness amongst clients.
Investment management and performance are also integral parts of this process.
The company has to offer a wide range of funds available to invest in, whilst showing consistent past performance over a range of funds.
Communicating With Employees
Employee benefit schemes can be recognised as a complex and confusing area for some employees. We would therefore undertake to simplify annual pension statements by providing an explanatory letter for each employee. This will increase understanding and therefore the appreciation amongst employees of what the employer is providing.
We carry out group presentations followed by one-to-one discussions. This provides the employee with the opportunity to discuss their existing personal pensions, previous employers schemes and entitlement to state pension as well as the benefits provided for them by their current employer.
Investment in the very latest computer software means that employees can see in clear graphical form the pension they can expect to receive in today's money, including state benefits and benefits from other pension sources, thus enabling them to understand the basis of their retirement provision and appreciate their employers input.
