Healthcare Insurance

A couple meeting with a doctor

Healthcare Insurance, otherwise known as Private Medical Insurance (PMI) can pay for the quick diagnosis and prompt treatment of acute illness or injury and can cover:

Getting diagnosed

  •     Consultations
  •     MRI, CT and PET scans
  •     Diagnostics test

Getting treated

  •      Post diagnostic treatment
  •      Operations
  •      Therapies such as physiotherapy

Healthcare insurance won’t generally cover GP services, the management of long-term conditions (e.g. diabetes) or accident and emergency incidents.

Healthcare Insurance can be put in place for individuals, families, groups, employers and affinity schemes.

There are a number of ways to fund and access private healthcare services. You can pay for a one-off-service or alternatively, if you’re looking for the reassurance of cover for whenever you need it then annual health insurance may be more appropriate.
